Cookie Policy
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in a visitor's browser. It allows the site to remember settings and to recognise the browser on a later visit.
2. Which files this website uses
The northseahotel.com website sets two technical cookies of its own: northseahotel-session (the session) and XSRF-TOKEN (protection of forms against request forgery). The forms on the website cannot be sent without them; they contain no information about you and are deleted after two hours of inactivity. These files are strictly necessary, so they are set without asking for consent.
In addition, the website stores your answer to the cookie question on your device. It is held in your browser's local storage, is never sent anywhere, and exists purely so that you are not asked the same question on every page.
3. Third-party service files
The website uses external services that set their own cookies or store data in your browser's local storage:
- Yandex Metrica (Yandex LLC) — a statistics service on every page. It sets the cookies _ym_uid, _ym_d, _ym_isad, _ym_visorc and others and collects information about the visit: pages viewed, the referring source, device and browser data, and actions on the pages (including through the «Webvisor» technology). This information helps us improve the website. It is loaded only after you give your consent.
- Yandex Maps — the map widget on the «Contacts» and «Getting here» pages.
- TravelLine — the online room booking system. Its module is loaded on every page, and the booking form is embedded in the «Booking» page. It sets the cookies TLV_* and TLBF_* and stores technical identifiers tl:* in your browser's local storage so that room search and booking work. The details you enter in the booking form are received and processed by TravelLine. It is loaded without asking for consent: without the module a room cannot be booked on the website.
- HotBot — an online chat with the hotel on every page. It keeps the chat state in your browser's local storage (hotbot-state); the messages you write in the chat are received by the HotBot service. It is loaded without asking for consent so that the chat is available straight away.
Those files are covered by the policies of the respective services, not by this policy.
4. Your choice
On your first visit the website asks whether external services may be allowed. Until you agree, neither Yandex Metrica nor the map widget is loaded — and therefore they set no cookies. The TravelLine booking module and the HotBot chat do not depend on this choice. You can change your decision at any time right here:
5. How to refuse cookies
You can also manage cookies in your browser settings: block them entirely, allow them only for particular sites, or delete those already stored. Depending on the browser, the relevant section is called «Cookies», «Privacy and security» or «Tracking protection».
Declining external services in the consent window does not prevent you from using the website: only the map will not be displayed, and your visit will not be counted in the statistics. If you block all cookies in your browser, however, the forms on the website and room booking will stop working.
6. Changes to this policy
If other analytics systems or services that set cookies are added to the website, this page will be updated and the consent question will be asked again.
